Q: Short Period then Brown Discharge

I recently stopped taking birth control pill and up until 2 weeks ago, I was on antibacterial tablets for a UTI.
This is my first period since I stopped bc and the first 3 days were a normal period.
Then I stopped completely for a day.
The day afterwards, I found that I had what appeared to be period like symptoms still, but the blood was brown.

Any ideas?
