Short period followed by late period

Hmm, So this is my first time on this site so bare with me.

My previous period only lasted for 2 days. it was 5 days early and very light. I am lucky enough to have a fairly timed period and the most ive ever been early is 2 days. and i havnt been late since i was pregnant with my daughter, She is 4 now. My period is currently 5 days late. My Husband and I have been trying for about 4 months now and ive been trying to do everything right. i quit smoking, charted my "fertile" days and have been lovin up a storm. anyone have any thoughts? maybe a similar situation?
