Q: short period and tender nipples

Hi!
About a week and a half ago I started having irritated, sore breasts- nipples extremely sore to the touch. My period started at the normal time, but only last 3 days, which is strange of me. My periods are always on time and always last 6 days.
Any thoughts what could have caused the tender nipples, and extremely short period? I took a home pregnancy test a couple days before my short period started and it was negative. Should I take another test? Should I wait some time before I take it?
Please respond!

Hormones. Sore breasts are usually caused by hormones. PMS can cause this, birth control. A fluctuation in your normal cycle.

Pregnancy tests aren't very accurate if taken before your period. Yes, they say they are - but they are not for every woman.

Since you still feel this may be related to pregnancy, take another test with your first morning urine.

Thanks for the comment. I might add that this is the first time I have EVER suffered from breast pains.

Any other comments from anyone else.

Women's cycles change periodically. You may have drank a lot of caffeine this cycle, that can cause PMS breast pains. Our cycles do not stay static and the same every month, they do alter themselves a little with age.

Take a pregnancy test.
