I have been experiencing shooting pains in my hand/fingers, arms, legs and feet for a couple of weeks now. It started off as just pains in the fingers and has now spread to the arms and has further spread to the legs and feet. Sometimes the veins in my left hand are scarily visible, they become very blue and my hand looks dead. I am worried about what this could be as I am only 19 years old. I have also been suffering with chest pains for about the past 6/7 months and I have seen a doctor about these pains, every time they tell me its nothing. I am worried that the pains in my arms and legs may be linked to the pains in my chest.

I hope somebody can help

Thanks x

hiya hun, i too have had something very similar to you so im hoping that what i can tell you may help slightly ease your worries, i too have had shooting pains across my chest down my arms, and in my legs, my problem was actually a trapped nerve and wow let me tell you the problems these things cause is untrue! my doctors told me for 8 years nothing was wrong with me, i had to actually self diagnose from reading up on the internet!! ( obviously go to doc to confirm, do not ever self treat ) after 8 years of being fed up of these pains i googled my symptoms or just part of my symptoms and it gave me sciatica, i went to my doctor and said i think i have this, she sent me to a specialist finally as sciatica isnt a cause on its own and the specialist told me i had a bulging disk at the bottom of my spine, so that got sorted with physio, but the pains in my top half now i have t go back about as at the top of my spine i have a very sore spot, anyway, i do think your pains could be the result of a pinched/trapped nerve! google your symptoms, the areas in which you have these pains, see if there are any major nerves where your pains are like i did, and remember one pinched nerve can cause pain in alot of locations just like mine, with my bulging disk i had times where i couldnt stand through the pain ( and the doctor said there was nothing wrong, mmm i think she should be sacked myself!! lol) but once your abit clearer on your own problem if you agree it may be nerve just ask your doctor about it too, it really does sound like this could be a possibility, wishing u well x

Thanks, this answer is very helpful. I am actually going to the doctors today so I will see what they have to say! I have to ask though, did you experience the pains in your hands and feet too?

i did yeah, on the tops of my hands and soles of my feet, nerves run all over the body, places you wouldnt think of, i mean as i say its just a possibility so see what your doc says, it could also be something like a virus, but it does sound very similar to my own story so, fingers crossed your doc can help hun, good luck x

Looks Like it could be a trapped nerve but to be sure to check with your doctor first before going ahead with it.
