Q: shoe stretchers

A foot doctor recommended a "ball and ring" shoe stretcher. When I went on the web many sites on this, but I like amazon.com because you can read people's reviews. On internet it says "bull" not "ball" and ring.

More importantly, until I order and receive this product, yesterday I dropped off a pair of shoes with a cobbler to get stretched. When I went back six hours later I tried them on and they were still tight. He told me to leave them overnight to stay on the stretcher. Do you think these extra hours will make the shoes fit?

I appreciate your advice.

Thanks,
Karen

P.S. I saw the stretcher the cobbler used and it was different from the ball and ring. If the shoes are still too tight, I would assume it is not as good as the ball and ring?
