About 2 years ago during a soccer game, i was slid into cleat first on my shin. Immediately afterwards there was immense swelling, bruising, and pain. I elevated and iced it but nothing seemed to help it actually got worse. i thought the bruise was expanding but it turned out that it was actually blood gradually flowing from the injury on my shin, which ended up pooling in my foot. this became too painful to walk on so i went to my doctor. They basically told me heat and ice and didnt seem to think much of it. 2 years later that spot on my shin still gives me occasional sharp pain and hurts to the touch. Now for the past 2 weeks, my entire shin has had a constant numb, tingling sensation which seems to start around that one spot. Is it possible that this has been caused by some sort of nerve damage from the previous injury? Or that there had maybe been some sort of fracture in that area? I cant think of anything else that could have brought this on.
