so about a week ago i shaved my nether regions....i do once in a while when the hair starts to bother me. but this time i shaved and it itched really bad while the hair was growing back in. i wasn't too worried as this tends to be the process i've gone through in the past however, last night i noticed my labia minora was SUPER swollen(it's so swollen it sticks out past my labia majora) and very tender. i've looked on the internet as to what it might be but was wondering if anyone else has gone through this and what their experience was? i know for a fact i'm STD free so it's not that but it's kind of got me worried and unless i went to an ER i would have to wait until monday to see a doctor. is it worth going or will it subside? ANY information would be super appreciated.
Thank you

As it's not clear whether or not the swelling is related to the shaved skin around the genitals, I'd suggest that you see your gynecologist. It's much better to be safe than sorry, especially with the reproductive regions of the body!

maybe if you take a bag of frozen peas and put a washcloth on your "hoo-hoo" then hold the bag of frozen peas on it, the swelling will go down. this is serving the same function as ice.

ice helps to reduce swelling. this may help you make it through the weekend.

don't put the ice directly against your skin. put a washcloth inbetween the ice and your body so it doesn't get too cold.

hope you feel better sweetie.
