Q: sharp quick pain right side

Hi, Quick question for anyone.

I'm 21 years old, male. 5'11, 180.
For the last few years, maybe twice a week... I always get this sharp/quick pain on the lower right side of my stomach area. I can't really point to it... just that area.
It only last for a brief second, but the pain is pretty intensive...Not sure if its just the shock value, or the pain itself. But it comes and goes really quickly. I don't think one has ever lasted longer then 3 seconds. They happen at all different times, typically when I'm sitting down.

Any idea what this could be? I don't have health insurance, so I exercise and try to keep my body healthy.

hmmm.. sounds to me like a Stomach ulcer, that can cause abdominal pain. Does the pain come when your stomach is empty?
and do you have chest pains with the abdominal pain?

Hope that helps

Update*

The pain still comes and goes. My father had ulcer's I'm not sure if they are genetic.

It's just a sharp pain on the right side which last only a few seconds.
The pain generally comes when I have not had food i guess?
