I just recently discovered I'm about 18 weeks pregnant and I'm having really sharp pains that feels like labor pains. I just had a baby 8 months ago so I'm scared there's something wrong with my baby. Am I okay?

Hi! Many thanks for your question on eHealth forum!

Any sharp pain in the abdomen should be immediately shown to the gynecologist. It can be due to gas, abortion, infection or due to unrelated causes such as kidney or gall bladder stones. Ectopic pregnancy should also be ruled out.

Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Hope this helps. Take care!
