It is very likely that the head pains you are experiencing are Idiopathic (without known cause) stabbing (the pain resembles a stab from an icepick, nail, or needle and typically lasts from a fraction of a second to 1 to 2 seconds) headaches, ones with the shortest duration of all known headaches.
They can be felt as brief, sharp, severe jabbing pains about the head, occurring either as single episodes or as brief repeated volleys.
You may have 1 attack per year to 50 attacks per day.
They occur mainly around the orbit or the temple, and tend to reoccur at the same spot each attack, usually, affecting only one side of the head.
They are generally unprovoked and harmless head pains, that are common appearance in migraine suffers.
Evident triggers are rapid alterations in posture, physical exertion, bright light, and head motion during migraine attacks.
Best wishes!
