I keep getting really sharp pains in the back right side of my head that shoots up into my temporal area. the pain only lasts for a few seconds but it hurts really bad. i have been getting them for a couple of weeks now, and they happened several times a day. If anyone knows what is happening please let me know. im afraid of having a brain annurism but i don't want to over react. thank you

Does the pain usually originate at the base of the skull and radiate to the back, front, and side of the head, as well as behind the eyes?
Is there any certain spot at the back of your head that is sensitive to touch?
Do you feel pain or pressure behind the eyes?
Do you find your eyes sensitive to light, especially when the headache is present?

pain in my head
yes, the pain does start in the back and move up through my temple and it does hurt behind my eye but only the right one. however it is not sesitive to anything. i have pressed on it every where and have done anything i can think of to trigger it but they just come randomly and go away just as quickly.

Do you find physical and emotional tension as common precipitating factors?
Are you aware of having osteoarthritis or diabetes?
Have you experienced trauma to the back of your head?

I have been experiencing the same kind of pain but on the left side and i also experience the pain behind both my eyes and i am pretty sensitive to light when that happens. and also, i am also having frequent regular headaches. when i sat frequent, i mean almost everyday. i am taking Tylenol but it only relieves the pain for the night and the following day the pain starts again. could you please tell me what this could be. I am planning on going to the doctor next week but i am just curious.
