im sure its normal but go to a doctor now as stabbing pain in one side can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy I've heard, which is highly dangerous to you.

Having said that I often used to get a sharp stabbing pain in my left side when I was in my early twenties, I was low in weight and I went to the doctors believing it was something to do with my menstrual cycle. However, it turned out to be IBS which is very common and produce similar symptoms.

Pregnant women often suffer from IBS too.

Whichever way though TELL A DOCTOR ASAP!
