i am 23 yrs old sexually inactive.i used to have my periods regularly.but last month it got skipped.and now my breasts are sore and i am gaining wt.my breasts usually get sore 1 week before periods.now its been more than 2 weeks but still i did not get my period yet after it got skipped for a month.i am worried.is it something that i need to take it seriously.please help me.

You can have missed periods or delayed periods if you are stressed. Other causes include polycystic changes in ovaries, hormonal derangements, thyroid hormone dysfunction, etc. You should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation to look for underlying cause for your absent periods. Appropriate treatment would be started for you to help in getting back your periods (based on examination and investigation results).
