Dear Doctor,
Here is my story.I had an encounter with a sex worker recently.though I didn’t have inserted vaginal sex with her, she did a oral on me about 4 to 5 minutes. After that I had rubbed my penis on her vagina.I remember it wasn’t wet much.It happened around 3 and half months ago. I didn’t have any symptoms till 3 months. But recently (20 days ago)I had a mild fever which is coming and going till now.The same time Iam having excessive burping just after I eat or drink anything. It never happened to me b4. My wife also facing the same problem of burping from same day when I started having. Are these symptom of early HIV? I heard malabsorption is one of the early symptom of HIV and burping is symptom of malabsorpation. I am worried.Could you please let me know if burping, mild fever, high body temperature after 3 months is symptom of early HIV infection? i read about that in the below link.could you pls chk

Given the data you have reported, there are possibilities that an HIV infection may have occurred. However, the symptoms you describe might be not related to an HIV infection at all. Instead, these symptoms might be a part of a totally independent condition(s). For example, burping might be a sign of chronic inflammation of the stomach. And the fever might be due to a common cold. Consider taking an HIV test(s) in order to confirm or exclude HIV as a possible diagnosis and the cause of illness.
