Sex with new partner
I had unprotected sex with a new girlfriend.
She works in a Doctor's surgery therefore she is regularly tested for STI's.

Three days after sex i had penile tingles and itches with no discharge.

I penile swab taken for herpes but it was negative. I have also had severe muscle aches and weakness.

The penile itch has gone and the muscle aches have subsided drastically almost two weeks later.

I still feel maybe i have an STI.
The test results for chlamdyia and others are negative.

I have seen my DR who thinks it is just a viral infection that will clear up.

I still have to wait a few weeks before I take an HIV test.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
You can wait to have the complete STD screening to be done that would include testing for HIV. The ‘penile tingles and itches’ that you felt after intercourse could be suggestive of infection in her vagina or cervix. You should consider getting her tested for vaginal swab/smear to look for the causative organism. Get started on treatment as indicated. Avoid having unprotected intercourse. Consider getting a urine test done to rule out chances of subclinical urine infection responsible for your symptoms being persistent.
Take care.

Dr Mahumita
Thanks for the reply, I have already done a urine test.
It tests for chlamydia and possibly others I don't know about.
The results are negative unless you are suggesting I retake the tests.

Thanks again
