I had sex last night the first time since having a hysterectomy. I am having constant pain and have to pee constantly. As soon as I pee I feel that I have to go again. Very little does come out when I pee. I am living in my bathroom because I pee then end up back in the bathroom minutes after to pee again. It hurts also when I pee. Could this be a UTI? Can you get a UTI hours after haveing sex?
Symptoms of urinary tract infection usually can not appear within hours of the intercourse.
The symptoms you reported (often urination with constant pain) might indicate neurological disorder. Since the nerves for the uterus and for the bladder muscles originate from very close locations, you might consult urologist or neurologist if some nerve is damaged or pinched, thus causing the frequent and painful urination.
Before that you might want to have a urine culture, to rule out the possible urinary tract infection.
