Q: sex too soon after partial hysterectomy

I know the doctor said no sex for 6 weeks but I didn't listen and now after sex there is itching and I've noticed there is some discomfort during sex as if my vaginal walls have strunk. I've also noticed that there isn't as much secretions during sex as pre hysterectomy.

Take it easy on the sex...If your cervix was removed it may be more uncomfortable...If you are not as lubricated then tell your OB-GYN...As for me seeing they took my ovaries, I use Estring...It is inserted every three months and believe me, it is awesome...It has Estroil in it and this hormone stimulates my g-spot, upper vagina and I swear my clit..I have not needed lubrication in over four years...It gives out daily does and you can feel it when your three months is up...Soreness will creep in...To me, it is a Godsend...Cost about $200 every three months but I have great insurance...Either way I would get it...

Hope this information which is lengthy helps...I always try to include things that may help the next reader of your thread...I have found that so many women suffer the soreness and hurt of older age that shouldn't have to....This round disc is awesome...Good luck in the new you...Never look back...It is wonderful....

Thanks Caroline. I did fail to mention that I still have my cervix. My doctor took my uterus and one ovary due to scar tissue. Thanks for the useful info but do you think that treatment would help me since I do still have a cervix

Yes, it will definitely help any woman...So many do not know about it...I mean this makes you hot...I swear by it and many others do too....This is great if you no longer lubricate...Or get sore inside...It makes you feel like a woman...Please understand I do not try and sell something, I just tell what a miracle it has been to me....

Take care,
Caroline

Thanks again because I definitely need something. I see my doctor next week and will mention this to her. I can lubricate just not as much as before the surgery. And seems like that disappears. My husband and I are very sexual and I would hate to hit a brick road with this. That's why I'm not wasting any time seeing my doctor.
