Yasmin was first approved by The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in 2001 for women to use as birth control. However, as with other methods, Yasmin has come under extreme scrutiny several times.

First in 2008, the FDA issued Bayer Corp. a warning letter regarding false claims made in two Yaz television commercials. These false claims involved the ability of Yaz to treat premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and all types of acne. As a result, the company stopped running the ads, and later embarked on an advertising campaign that corrected the deceptive claims made in those commercials.

More recently, Yasmin has encountered recent problems and has been linked to serious, life-threatening side effects. Yasmin has been associated with:

- Pulmonary Embolism (PE)

- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

- Heart Attack

- Stroke

- Other Serious Blood Clots

- Death

If you or someone you love has experienced death or serious injury from taking the oral contraceptive birth control pill known as Yasmin or Yaz, you may be eligible to recover compensation for your suffering and losses. most birth control cause a depletion of the following nutrients:

FOLIC ACID
ZINC
BETA CAROTENE

It would be wise for anyone using BC to suppliment these or even a one a day or multi vitamin, also magnesium supplimentation can be beneficial to those suffering menstral cramping but this must be used in conjunction with other nutrients specific!
