In a "normal" cycle, you should ovulate at around day 14, the middle of the cycle. It is unlikely you will ovulate the day before your period, but it is not impossible. It is even possible to get pregnant on your period, although is somewhat unlikely.
Another thing: sperm can live in a woman's body for up to five days. This can be a significant window.
Go buy a pregnancy test, read the directions and take it when the test says it's most accurate after your missed period (otherwise, you will be more likely to get a false-negative). Next time, if you don't want to get pregnant, use protection.
