Q: Sex and blocked carotid arteries

My husband has over 90% blocked carotid arteries on both sides of his neck. He is going into the hospital to have a procedure done where they take out the plague on one artery and then go in 3 weeks later to unblock the other one. Is it safe to have sex prior to the surgery and how long after before it is safe?

You can have sex before the surgery. Few days after the surgery you can continue having sex.
