Q: Sex after vaginal hysterectomy

I had a hist a week ago and I am feeling very good. Everything seems to work well. I wanted to know if there is no penetration, if you will be allowed to have sex sooner. Not oral, say like mastrubation. We are a gay couple and I wanted to know.

Hi and welcome to ehealth..After only being a week out of surgery, I wouldn't think this is wise...I would think that you are too open for infection...Before I did this, I would definately call your doctor to see what he/she says on this....
