Q: Sex after first pill

okaii i just took the birth control pill yesterday. yesterday was my very first day.
i had unprotective intercourse today. and took the pill right after. now im very scared i think i just made a very big mistake.

You have made a mistake. The general rule for birth control pills says that the birth control pill is effective after taking it for seven days. Or, if you take it on the first day of your period, it is effective immediately. (I believe this assumes that you are not having sex while you have your period.) You have not given the pill long enough to be an effective form of birth control.
