Can anyone advise me on why this is happening?

I'm now 31 years old and have enjoyed a good social life now for about 15 years. One thing i have NEVER suffered with is sickness the following day after a night on the tiles.

However this past month or so i have had 2 nights out and on both occasions has lead to me being violently sick the following day it's been so bad that i'm still being sick at 9pm the following night. All i drank the next day was water and diluted juice but i just could not keep it down.

Why is this happening after all this years? Is tehir something wrong with me? Is this my body telling me to stop drinking or what?

Thanks for any advice as i'm pretty concerned.

your body's tolerance to substances decreases over time, causing you to become intoxicated faster... however the quantity required to stimulate the neurons in your brain continues to INCREASE... which means that it becomes more difficult to get that "good feeling" that you're looking for.

this holds true for most addictive substances.

Hey Stevie,
I sometimes also get that awful next day thing now I'm 36 and i only started getting it in my late 20's

I think it basically really depends on these factors...

1) do you line ur stomache BEFORE going out and not after youve drank?
Even a few glasses of milk will help as it is an anti-acid and a good chinese is the perfect way to keep your body topped up with minerals.

2) make sure when u get home drink like 10 tall glasses of pure water (Evian) or another good one, as this will flush out your system before u sleep

If you get really bad stomache cramps the next day it could be a sign of a hiatus hernia as what mine turned out to be.

Your body produces its own Acid, and this acid pumps through your stomache if you drink a lot of spirits or very strong beer this will double if not treble your acid flow,

So stock up on a load of anti-acid tabs they are mint for the next morning Smile

"Resolve" is a very gd one and works within 5 minutes if not "alka-seltzer"!

Gd Luck
Kel x
