Since having a lumbar puncture 3 months ago which took 6 attempts I have suffered severe aching and pains im my back, legs and every joint in my feet. It is incessant and on bad days, even walking is difficult. Could the lumbar puncture have caused any damage to my lower nervous system/ spinal chord? Would this be permanent? What can I do about it? How could it be proved?

Hello Averil,

Welcome to this thread.

Sorry to read about the pain you are having. Please do ask your doctor these questions.

ALSO, see a neurologist/spinal surgeon (the best one you can find) and seek their thoughts on this.

The sooner you get some answers from a medical spinal specialist (with MD after his/her name) the better.

I wish you the very best. Do let us know how things go for you.
