i have severe mood swings, and am very angry all the time, especially at the people I care about the most. (sister/fiance). I really want to change, but I don't know how. I have been called emotionless,,, cold, and names like that cause i don't know how to express myself, this affects myself, my family, and my relationships. I will be kinda happy for a couple of hours, then I think, dam life sucks ,, well anyways u understand ,, help if u can, thank you--

You need to consult with a psychiatrist. An evaluation can be done to determine if there is any type of mood disorder going on. It sounds like you may have a mood disorder but you need a doctor to diagnose this. A doctor can offer you treatment options.

Well once you get on the medication it will take away the mood swings and allow you more freedom.

It takes a bit of trial and error to get the medication right though.

I don't feel incredibly happy any more, I miss not having the manic side, but it is better this way not to feel the depression either.

Dude
You sound a little like my cycles. I'm Bi-Polar I (I AM NOT SAYING YOUR BI-POLAR!!!) and I cycle from anger to depression to suicidal thought back up to happy. I would consult with a psychiatrist in order to evaluate your moods. Too be absolutely honest? It does sound like you have a soft mood disorder, perhaps not super severe, but it still seems to be there. Medication is tricky. Im on Effexor XR 150mg, Abilify 10mg, Ativan .5mg 5 times a day, and Mirtazapine at night for sleep. My moods have not gotten better what so ever, which is why I'm about ready to try a stimulant like Adderal with a mood stabilizer. Do some research bro, I'm 18 and I got at least some form of treatment (along with therapy...) and yes, the manic high's go away, and I miss them dearly. I used to be able to go like a motor, all day, literally. But now I feel just down, so be careful with what they put you on.
