I had a sudden onset of severe lower back pain yesterday. Today, it is hard to walk, bend, pick up my infant twins, or sit without hurting. What is it and why? I need some opinions. I took Ibuprofen which didn't help. Should I go see my doctor?

Hello Babyalex,

CONGRATULATIONS on your infant twins. I hope they are doing well.

Babyalex, your twins ARE a most important reason why you need to see your doctor. Please do not delay, your twins are most precious and need their mom in good health.

So as not to delay things - Babyalex, I would highly recommend that you seek the advice of the very best neurologist/spinal surgeon that you can find in your area. Even if your doctor says to wait and see what happens, etc. GO and see a neurologist/spinal surgeon without delay.

SOOOooo many people who post about their back pain that they have had for months and even years have not obtained the advice of a spine specilist (with MD at the end of their name). Don't become one of those.
