Hello, I have been in severe pain for the last year. The pain started out of nowhere; I simply woke up and couldnt even put my shoes on. I assumed that it would leave as quickly as it came, but unfortunately, this is not the case. I have been to countless doctors and had numerous tests and MRIs conducted. My NCV/EMG came back normal twice, blood work is normal, and every MRI (lumbar x 2, thoracic, and cervical) came back normal as well. i'm truly at a loss and can't tolerate the pain. The pain, when described, sounds like textbook pinched sciatic. I have had three epidural steroid/lidocaine injections into the L4/L5 area with temporary relief. The first injection dropped the pain level by 50% and lasted 2 months. The most recent only lasted 3 weeks with about the same amount of relief. I also had an injection into the piriformis muscle (prior to the Lumbar injections) with no relief. Lastly, I have tried accupuncture which did not have results lasting more than 30 minutes.

The pain is debilitating and makes everything difficult. I can't exercise (obviously), but I am in horrible pain just walking my dog across the street, and require pain medicine to do so. I really need some new ideas to help me figure out what is going on. I've always been an active person, and not only is this physically debilitating, but it is definitely taking a mental toll on me as well.

I would greatly appreciate any help!

~NJC
