Q: Severe Jaw Pain

I am 16 years old and have been having severe jaw pain on the right side. It started when I was 11 and has only been getting worse. I recently asked my dentist about it and he said there is nothing to be done and it should relieve itself eventually. However, it has still been getting worse to the point where i can hardly talk or eat. I plan on making an appointment with an orthopedist shortly. Please help.

You could try sleeping with a mouth guard to find out if grinding your teeth in your sleep is causing the problem.
