Last spring (2008), I pulled both of my hip flexors while running track. I got an MRI and everything was fine. The pain seemed to go away until in basketball season until I restrained them at the start of this years track season (four months ago). The pain has gotten a lot worse (worse than it was last year too) to the point where it hurts to walk and basically hurts all the time. I am 14 and have been going to physical therapy. They say that all of my allignment is off. Everytime I go, they fix the upslip in my legs which makes the pain go away until it comes back the next day (which it always does). They can tell that it is not really getting better. When I try to run, I get about 200 feet at the most until the pain starts to hurt bad. This is getting really frustrating. Is there anything else causing this pain other than a hip flexor strain? The pain is mainly in the front of my hips where the hip flexors are, but sometimes it travels down my leg to my knee making my knee hurt and around the buttocks. Is there anything that I can do other than my physical therapy and stretches that can help solve this? Thank you for your help.

Why don't you rest and give your body a chance to try to repair itself...You are young and growing and I think that this could also be a culprit...

Good luck,
