Q: Severe headache when laughing

Over the last year I have been getting these severe headaches when I do anything strenuous. It is the worst when I laugh hard. The only way to make the headache go away or "die down" is by holding the back of my head and putting my head down (chin to chest). For the rest of the day I will just have a dull ache in my head. I don't have any medical problems and am pretty much healthy. I am 31 years old and am constantly on the go with my family. *maybe this info could help* I am not stressed and am a cheerful person. Let me know if you have any answers or suggestions. Thanks!

Extremely eHealthy
This laughing headache along with headaches that appear after any strenuous activities are type of headache known as exertional headache.
This type of headache is usually harmless, but, can also indicate some brain problems like blood vessels abnormalities or brain structural abnormalities.

It is very important to get examined with brain MRI and MRA (to get blood vessels visualized).
