I've had severe constipation since I was really young. It got so bad when I was around 7 that my parents had to take me to the hospital. I've had problems being regular ever since I can remember, and nothing really seems to work.
I have not gone in two weeks this time. The last time I went, I had taken a stool softener and put some fiber mix in a glass of water. It took me awhile, and a little straining, but it finally came out. I tried this remedy again, and it didn't work.
I don't drink milk, and I don't overeat bread. So those can't be factors that I can eliminate.
I'm scared to go this time, because I can already tell it's going to be painful.Sad Occasionally, when I go, there's some blood. I'm sick of the poo being so stiff that it hurts to get out, and I'm tired of being irregular as well. Any home remedies or OTC medicines that work, and work fast? I'd prefer not to go to the doctor.

Hello friend, first I want to say, you are not alone. I'm also 16 and constipated. Well, right now all I'm trying to do is drink a lot of water, exercise, and eat fiber (like cereal). Hopefully it will go away Very Happy. Don't worry you're not alone, at least someone knows what your going through. A lot of people do since they experienced it themselves. I'm not that experienced so, i'll recommend you go to a doctor,(only if you think it's serious), exercise, drink a lot of water and eat fiber.
Also look for natural remedies online, that's what i'm doing.
