To someone out there willing to help,

I am an active 26 year old woman who enjoys living life. However, for the past seven years, a lifelong problem has become an increasingly painful and 'hard' problem. I have been to physicians in both the US and Europe and I seem to always get the same answer.....try this fiber mix and drink a few extra glasses of water. These words are not what I want to hear, as I eat plenty of fiber and I drink up to 8-10 glasses of water daily. As you can imagine, this problem has caused me to suffer tremendously and it continues to do so. I have terrible pain each and every time I have a BM (which, on average, is once a week and lately has only been occuring when I take a very strong stool softener) and this is not caused from a hemmorhoid but rather a reoccuring anal tear. After my recent trials of medicine, I believe that my problem is that water does not make its way into my colon. I truly believe this causes me my problems, but I do not know of a 'disease' nor a cure for this. Can you please help with any advice or guidance? It certainly would be appreciated, especially because I am waiting to conceive a child until this problem is resolved. Thank anyone in advance!

Here wer go again
A , woman of your age group and single maybe not eating properly. Olive oil should be added to your diet and to every part of your diet, a salad a day will take you to the toilet, and believe me take a expresso coffee in the morning this will help believe me, also and they told you this before and probably you did not follow the advise
fruits, fruits and vegetables are needed, if you hate those, raisins one or two boxes a day the small 40g boxes take you to the toilet, I this doesnt work, let me know I have a lot of advises.
I wonder if they did a colonoscopy to evaluate your colon? The bloody stools could be secondary to Chronns Disease, even when people with C Disease have more diarrhea, also Ca of the colon, and interanal hemorrhoids give that bleeding, also some sexual practices produce those bleeding and constipation. But I think a blood work to evaluate CEA from your colon even when this is not a diagnostic weapon, will help. Do no take no for an answer if a doctor turn you down go to another, and get this done, maybe you are just constipated because you hate to see the blood in the toilet and or you hate to have the BM, something mental not Physicial, do the colonoscopy, Diverticulis could give you constipations in certain cases. Godspeed.

Thanks for the response but in all due respect I have heard the same thing ten times over. Do this, do that and oh, don't forget.... I am a married woman (not single, with dirty sexual practices as you suggest) who eats healthy, and wants nothing but the best for herself but most of all her future family. Please offer advice and a bit of guidance if it something I haven't heard from the 'specialists'.

In addition, I have had a colonoscopy as well as a barium sallow 4 years ago with no results (other than 'a major tear') and no further testing. My current specialist is going to do a sigmoidoscopy (pending the healing of my current tear)to verify that things look OK from the far end. After those results, the next steps will be decided.

I have reached out to this website in case there is someone who is truly suffering or an MD who has seen someone in a similar case. I appreciate any valuable feedback from an educated person who is able to provide such.

ok
What about blood test? did they check your thyroid
Hypothyroidism goes with constipation.
I am sorry if I insulted you in any way, but "no enough data produce incomplate answers" Mr. Spock. Also some parasites produce this bloody discharge, I dont know your ethnic back ground but some Asian culture eat raw fish and a bacteria known as diphylobotium Latum, could give you blood in the feces, I am assuming you got a feces culture already, I think the parasites like ancylostoma and diphy ( please forgive the spelling) produce more diarrhea than constipation, unless you are seriously infected and the masses of parasite are producing obstruction. Oh well, Vulcan
