It would seem that no matter what I eat or do not eat, by the end of most days my stomach is gurgling and growling. I know then what is coming, several hours of a bloated abdomin and feeling as if I am full of gas and unable to pass it. I drink a glass of baking soda with water and it gives little relief. I have tried rolaids, other antacids and nothings can stop it or seems to prevent it. I have tried staying off dairy, no starch, I dont eat fried foods. I am completely miserable and in agony several hours each night. The pain is all in my upper abdomin and when I lay down on my back on the floor and feel my abdomin, the upper left side is very tender to the touch. Help me what could it be.

Abdominal bloating due to a gas accumulating during the day and being greatest in the evening, is very important feature of irritable bowel syndrome.
Since you have abdominal pain and tenderness on the left upper abdominal part, it is a good idea to get checked for your pancreas function.
Pancreatic impaired function, leads to poor digestion and absorption of foods in the small intestine, allowing more undigested food to reach the bacteria in the colon.
The more undigested food the bacteria have, the more gas they produce, resulting in abdominal distension or bloating.

Best wishes!
