Q: Severe bitter taste in mouth throughout the day

Hi,

I'm having severe gastric trouble and my doctor prescribed me Nexium for 4 weeks. With Nexium, my bitter taste in mouth almost went off, but now after 4 weeks when i stopped the medication, the bitter taste in mouth has reappeared. Also i have sever gastric problem with burning sensation in stomach. Plese advise what should I do?

It sounds like you have rather severe gastroesophageal reflux, and may need to be on long-term antacid therapy. You should follow-up with your physician for these recurrent acid reflux symptoms. It might also be appropriate for your doctor to refer you to a GI specialist.
