Q: sensation of throat closing

Hi,

I was just wondering if you have any suggestions, I am scared now for a week , my throat feels like it is about to close, I also smoke but that makes it worse. I can't take a deep breath and my throat feels very dry and I need to cough every 3 seconds and it is driving me crazy.

Maybe you want to post this in the anxiety forum? Your smoking is definitely not making anything better either, and you know you should probably quit. There are many programs out there to help you...you can ask for help in our addiction/recovery section as well.

You should go to the doctor and get your lungs and throat checked out too.
