Hello Good day,

My baby was delivered with less oxygen on his brain and now he is 2 months old and is experiencing seizure disorder and he is now taking phenobarbital 15mg a day as prescribe by his neurologist. His doctors say that my baby has a problem on his left brain as a result of his EEG examination that causes his partial seizure.

Phenobarbital is a dangerous drug that controls seizure, what is its long term effect for my baby when he grows old and if in case that his seizure will be controlled sooner or at an earliest possible time and fortunately by the time his medication will be stopped is the effects be still the same compared to others taking it for a long time? is there a possibility that my son will recover and grows as a normal child?

Thank you very much and hoping for your full support. More power
