Q: segmental thickening of loops

My Friend was experincing very extreme stomach pain & blotting finally he went to the ER today and after a CT scan was told that he had segmental thickeing of the loops. Can anyone explain to me better, we are very concerned of findings.

Extremely eHealthy
This is probably a case of angioedema (swelling of the intestinal wall) of part of intestinal tract (usually, small bowels), manifested with severe abdominal pain, accompanied with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
