Q: Seeing windpipe ?

I stuck my toungue all the way out and I freaked out because I saw this whitish-orangish lump in the back of my throat, & I showed it to my sister who is a nurse & she said it was probably my trachea, but I've never seen it before even when sticking my toungue all the way out. Is this normal? & if it is, what color is it suppose to be? Plz Help!
