Hi, I am pregnant with my second baby and have concerns about when I go into labor. With my first baby I was in labor for a total of 3 hours from the time the 1st contraction started until the delivery. My concern is that the second baby will come much faster than the first and I may not make it to the hospital...My doctor has mentioned "checking in" to the hospital when I am due, but I don't know if he is serious or not. What are the facts on second deliveries in terms of speed??
