scrotum red spot

I have a red spot on the side of my scrotum about the size of a thumbnail.It has sluffed the top layer of skin as if pealing kinda like from a sumburn. It does not itch at all and somtimes apears dry.If i stretch it it apears shinney . It has not changed size or shape and has been there for about 5 weeks now.I have had tenea versicolor spots befor but this seems different as that always went away after the dry flaky stage. This just stays redish pink and dosen't seem to change.any ideas what it might be.
