Annual Essay Contest
Our Essay Contest aims to promote student thought and provide student-based solutions for the health care industry.
Essays will address modern treatments in regard to one of the following medical categories:
- Addiction
- GERD Acid Reflux Heartburn
- Diabetes
- Mental Health
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar
- Depression
- Stress
- ADD and ADHD
- Sleep Disorders

- Allergies and Asthma
- Cold and Sinus
- Lung Cancer
- Heart Disease
- Cholesterol
- Arthritis
- Headache and Migraine

Creativity is encouraged. Discuss medical innovation of modern treatments in the context of the current health environment.
What are the problems associated with the medical condition you chose? Are current treatments sufficient? Why or why not?
What new ideas or practices can progress medical practice to manage, treat and potentially eliminate each condition.
Can this be done? By when? How? What outcome can you imagine?
Essays should not exceed 1000 words and must be original work. Essays will not be returned.
Scholarships are granted to chosen Essayists and are published on our website. Applicants must be between the ages of 17-30.
