I had what i think was my period a week ago, it was lighter(med-light flow when im heavy)and alot shorter then usual-only 3 days(start and finish) when im anywheres from 5-7.
now a week after i had some spotting when using the washroom, and started to feel:
nauseous
lightheaded and dizzy
sore breasts
heavy feeling in my abdomen with mild crampy feeling
which is an all the time thing
sore back
increase in clear odorless discharge
and such insane moodswings

because it was a period i wasnt worried about pregnancy, but after reading im scared that it was just vaginal bleeding and not a real period meaning its a possibility? im not sure when i should take a test or if its worth it.I have noone else to ask for help so i am reaching out here, please help me.I know the easy answer is to buy a test but i believe i am to early for that i think, and there is the $$ issue of testing without reason at the moment. As a side note i am an adult and it would be scary to be pregnant but not terrible. I just have noone to ask about these feelings, for someone to share their experiences with me.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Shorter and lighter periods, spotting, nausea, lightheadedness, dizziness, sore breasts, heavy feeling in abdomen, mild abdominal cramps,, mood changes, increase in clear vaginal discharge could be suggestive of pregnancy possibility. If you are pregnant, the shorter and lighter periods that you describe could be due to decidual bleeding. If the bleeding was early, it could suggest implantation bleeding. Urine pregnancy test kits usually start showing positive results after about 20 days post-conception (roughly corresponding to about 1 week after your missed/altered periods). The test should always be done on early morning first urine sample to get accurate results (pregnancy hormone HCG is believed to be in highest concentration in this sample, and you should avoid lot of fluid intake and caffeinated beverages in the night before taking the test). Look out for development of any other new symptoms if pregnancy is suspected. If you have got abnormal periods, or if you suspect chances of pregnancy, consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest.
Take care.

I want to know what your test result came back as because I'm having the exact same thing happening to me. I took a test, but it was in the middle of the day and it came back negative. I'm going to test again.
I'm very worried I'm pregnant and I don't want to be.
