Hello

Im a bit scared iv had a row tonight wi ma Mum Dad tonight quite a bad one really ma mum mentioned summin about shed ratha me o moved out cant quite remember exactly but i just said fine i will n obv shouting n afta the argument i listened on the stairs coz they wa talking about me.I Over heard mamum saying "iv never heard anything like that shes mentally ill needs help" and that i have skitzophrenia coz my step brother has from my Dads previous marriage i am really scared incae i have this now. I can argue wi ppl and blame them for things n can be nasty n not feel bad atall. Im just so scared iv got something wrong with me please help

d you ever feel bad about things you have done? or do you ever feel sad when you see someone else in pain?

sometimes ifeel bad yes i do feel sad when i see someone else in pain or my Mum is upset or crying yes. Im just scared i could have it if my step bro has it but he was born with it. I dont hear voices or anything like that but i dont get really excited about things and it hurt when ma mum n dad said that about me lnyt. I am moody but dont no if thats just coz im a girl lol im 20 just scared. xx

i just get touchy about things and go moody. I dont want ot have this and i hope i dont but im just so scared i have or willo get it xx

to me this dosen't sound like schizophrenia or like you are a sociopath... however schizophrenics aren't usually capable of distinguishing between what is in their head and reality. if you are really concerned about this you should see your doctor

Hi xxhayleyx,

Have you been legally diagnoised as having schizophrenia or any mental disorder by a physician? If you are scared to the point that you think your mother will put you out on the streets, call 411 and ask for the child protective services number, although you are legally, considered an adult at the age of 20, however, if you have a mental disorder as that of a child they will assist you in the right direction. Don't live in fear, there is help out there for you. Keep us posted.

no not been diagnosed with anything ever. But i can argue wi ppl and then after not remeber fully why iwas awful. I do get moody alot tho. Its jsut when i overheard ma mum n dad onna bout ma step bro just has made me wonder now how likely i am o getting it. xxx

sometimes i talk tomyself aswell actually as if im practising to sayh summin 2 sumone when im not just do it sometimes. Dont hear any voices tho. I just argue alot dunno if mayb thats how i am or is it something my step bro has but he ws born with this? xxx

if it concerns you that much talk to your local psychiatrist or even a clergyman. they are really good at helping people figure out why they do things they don't want to do, but this sounds to me like you are a perfectly normal 20 yr old girl

yes your probably right iv read other peoples stories in Skitzophrenia and i havent had any of them experiences so i think i might be just paranoid after hearing my mum n dad talking like that just then made me wonder i might have this. But thankyou for your replys i guess i know now im fine.
