Ok, I'm not crazy either, and the Doctor's are not in at the moment, and I've waited for months (no insurance) to try to find an answer to this. I've read several other forums in here that talks about almost the same thing, but no one seems to know an answer. Please, I don't have any pain but have noticed for about 6 months now that I have a dent along side the part in the middle of my head. (I part my hair in the middle the dent is to the left of that) I've not hurt myself in anyway and haven't had a stroke or anything like that. So if someone has come across the answer to this, please let me know. You think about all the medications that are out now a days and just wondered if, with several people having this, if it's something to do with the same kinds of medicine's people are taking or possibly some kind of foods we eat or don't eat. I'm really concerned and confused.
Thank-you everyone and hopefully A Doctor in here will be on line soon.

Ack! I have the same thing!!
Very curious if you got any response...I've got about a 2 inch depression in my scalp that's just appeared recently. I'm busy googling to find out any answers. I don't part my hair there...and mine's to the right of my centre part. Weird. I was wondering if it's a dehydration thing, a stress thing or some freaky way of the body saying something is wrong. I'll keep surfing the net and let you know if I read anything.

Head malformations exist that do not involve the brain. Craniofacial disorders, for example, are the result of abnormal growth of soft tissue and bones in the face and head. Craniofacial differences can result from abnormal growth patterns of the face or skull, which involves soft tissue and bones. A craniofacial condition may include disfigurement brought about by birth defect, disease or trauma.

In order to diagnose the condition, you might want to request a CT scan or MRI for starters. I'd suggest that you see your family doctor first, and then get a referral for a specialist later, if needed. I'm sorry that you don't have insurance at the moment. You might look into state, city or county funded health care plans or systems that can help!

I just recently found a indention in the front of my skull a bit over from the middle. No pain, just found it one night when I was shampooing. Kind of thought I might be thought crazy so I didn't mention it to my dr during a recent visit. Guess I will later on this month when I go back. Only symptom is a lot of being forgetful. Figured that might be stress.

No answers yet. I do have a CT scheduled for next week. Of course unless something major shows up I won't hear from it until the week after next. I will post result. My dent is about 2/3 of a inch wide, 2 1/2 inches long.

I also have discovered one and then a few days later another one showed up on the other side of the part. I had a skull xray and a CT which were normal. No luck with Google either! I have scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist but it is not until September 2nd, 2009. My primary care doctor says it might be soft tissue changes and will have to have them take a look and see. It is frustrating and mine does hurt if you push on them. It has caused a little dizziness as well. At least some things have been ruled out but it is scary when you have not had an injury to your head. Please keep us all updated since we seem to be in the same boat.
