Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Scabies is caused by a mite and the lesions are small red extrememly itchy bumps and they typically occur on the hands, feet & elbows. Permethrin 5% cream is used in infants( > 2 months) for the treatment but this should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

There is a rule that all family members of the patient of scabies also need to be treated even if they do not have any itching or rashes. Hence please ensure that all your family members also get the topical treatment.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
