I should start by saying I live in a dorm, so I'm in close contact with people a lot. About two weeks ago I started getting really really maddening itchy. I am itchy on my scalp, face, ears, neck, everywhere but the bottom of my feet pretty much. Even when naked (in case it's an allergic reaction to my clothing) I'm still itchy.
I started looking up things, and I got all paranoid about what I may have. A few days ago, the itching started being mostly at night. Today, around 7pm despite having pants on I felt something bite my butt. A few hours later, around 9:30ish, it started itching like crazy. When I looked at it it was a tiny red dot with blood in the middle (probably from itching). The dot's maybe the size of a pinhead. Tonight when I checked on it, I had a four red dots all in a row that looked like that, right on my butt cheek. I also had red dots like that on the top of my thighs. I was able to pop a few like a pimple. And now at 2am I am SO SO itchy.
What could this be? Oh, how I wish I had health insurance...
And if it is scabies, is it worth getting treated for it? Or will my belongings just expose me to it again?
