Q: Scabby spots on face

My boyfriend has these red, scabby spots on the edges of his face and on his chest.
They don't bother me or anything but today I felt three scabby spots on my face.
I'm really worried because I've always had really nice skin and don't want this to happen Sad

.
What could this be and what can I do besides from going to the doctors?

I'd be finding out what these red scabby things were and why if they were contagious he did not tell you. Other than seeing a dermotologist o find out, I can NOT right off tell you what it might be......especially if it were contagious.
