when I sit for long periods my feet the left foot especially get badly swollen above the ankle and there is discolouration on both feet above the ankle. I recently did the doppler ultrasound and was told that there is significant saphenofemoral incompetence. I was put on a six week treatment of tablets. My doctor explained the condition but I do not fully understand what caused it and what will happen if this condition persists.Can you make it clearer to me? I am a diabetic and grossly overweight.
