I just got Hernia surgery 2 days ago. I've been in ALOT of pain only when I walk and I figured out what it's from. At first the pain was just from the swelling from the surgery but I just realized that pain is much better. My testicles are sagging alot and I guess it's pulling on where I had my surgery. When I lift them up the pain goes away completely so I know thats what it's from. Why are they sagging so much? If it wasn't for that I would rarely be in any pain at all. I'm only 18 so they should not be sagging like this.

I have been asked to respond personally to your post. Please remember that I am not a doctor, but someone who has been thru this as you are going thru. Right now you are still very early in post op and remember that they had to move and stretch a lot of tissue and ligaments out of the way to repair your hernia. They also should have noted the three major nerves that run thru your groin and if the surgery was done correctly, the surgeon should have moved those nerves out of the way and then repaired your hernia. While moving all of this out of the way, things get stretched, especially the genital femoral nerve which branches out, one branch of that nerve runs in to your upper thigh while the other branch runs in to your testicle. While on a male the testicle is one of the most sensitive parts of the body it is no wonder that you feel pain there and the sagging you described. Over time if the surgery was done correctly, the sagging will disapate and begin to correct itself. If after 2 or 3 months you are still having the problem, you should speak to a Urologist, but I would bet that it will take care of itself over time. You are only 18 and you should heal rather quickly and be back to normal in no time. I hope this was helpful to you. if you would like to speak further I can be reached coach_jim2001@yahoo.com don't hesitate.
