Q: rust in fire hydrants and cancer ?

i noticed in the city that i live in that there was rust coming out of the fire hydrants when they were flushing them out i was told that the city water had bacteria in it or possibly radon?. can these cause cancer in people who have a history of cancer in their family. please respond when you can thank you rainbow
